Position Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Technician helps maintain a thriving campus environment for our students and faculty. Working closely with the Assistant Headmaster of Operations, this role will involve a variety of tasks such as simple repairs and maintenance, working with contractors, and building various items for projects while maintaining a school facility that is safe and clean for students and faculty. Perform light maintenance tasks with a variety of hand and power tools. Assist in landscaping of property and grounds beautification. Clean and organize tool rooms and supplies. Must be able to handle the physical demands of working with heavy objects/tools both inside and outside. Assess needs for larger projects and communicate professionally with contractors (technology, industrial AC units, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in industrial facilities maintenance
  • 1-2 years of general maintenance experience with various projects and repairs
    • Woodworking, plumbing, or lighting experience preferred
  • Follow proper safety guidelines and protocols – especially in environments surrounding students
  • Monday through Friday schedule – potential weekend work as needed
  • Must be able to work independently and be detail oriented
  • Full time position – benefits available
