While fundraising experience is preferred, it is not required. We are looking for candidates with transferable skills. If you have experience in sales, event planning, customer service, or relationship management, you likely have many of the core skills we are seeking. What matters most is your ability to connect with people and your enthusiasm for our mission.

Valor raises funds to support our schools’ mission and vision, including academic programs, facilities, and student experiences. This effort is primarily organized through our annual Invest in the Vision (IVC) campaign where parents at each school generously contribute to bridge the cost to educate a student and the revenue we receive from the State of Texas. In addition to the IVC campaign, we occasionally have capital campaigns for building expansions to support our growing student body.

Absolutely! We provide comprehensive training on all the tools and systems you will use, including DonorPerfect (our donor management system) and our fundraising approaches. You just need basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office to start. We also offer regular coaching sessions to help you grow and succeed in the role.

While our open fundraising positions are primarily on-campus roles (80% in-person), we offer some flexibility for remote work. The role occasionally requires evening or weekend hours, particularly during special events or campaign periods, but we work to ensure a balanced schedule that works for both Valor and your personal commitments.

You will be part of a collaborative team that provides clear strategies, scripts, and materials to help you succeed. In short, you will never have to "wing it" – we have established processes and best practices, plus ongoing training and coaching to support your growth. You'll also work closely with campus and network staff who are committed to your success.
